This family had a tiny deck with a rickety old set of stairs that were in dire need of replacing. Through consultation with the homeowners and Greenplan Design, we were able to come up with a new timber post and beam roof line and upper deck that allows for year round enjoyment with a further covered area underneath for a hot tub. An open plan lower cedar deck with custom stairs running down to it brings a natural flow into their beautifully landscaped back yard. For a family that wanted to enjoy their outdoor living space year round, this design allows for the best of both worlds.
