Silly Boat Regatta, Nanaimo, Summer 2019
As the owner of Island Red Cedar Construction Ltd. I was so pleased to be able to sponsor our team in this event and also to participate in it as well! Silly Boat is a fun, family event in support of a special cause – our children! All proceeds go to support programs and services for children with developmental needs and their families in our community. The Nanaimo Child Development Center (NCDC) provided over 1,900 services to children and their families last year.
On a personal level, our family was one of those to received help from the NCDC for our son. It was very rewarding to be able to pay back, in a small way, the wonderful service and support that we were so lucky to receive.
With 10,000 people in one place, with one purpose, the Silly Boat Regatta is a wonderful team-building opportunity and such a fun day! Please come join us next year and cheer on the Island Red Cedar crew to another win!
